OPERATING CONDITIONS

  1. The silencer is designed to reduce the noise level of compressed air exhaust. Other noises produced by equipment vibration, valve switching, etc. are not muffled.
  2. The inlet pressure refers to the pressure exactly in front of the silencer.
  3. If the compressed air is contaminated with oils or droplet moisture, there may be a decrease in the silencer’s flow capacity and spraying into the environment. It is recommended to use moisture-oil separators when preparing the air.
  4. The silencing characteristics may depend on the design and arrangement of pneumatic system components and may differ from those specified here.
  5. The silencing characteristics may depend on the design and arrangement of pneumatic system components and may differ from those specified here.
  6. The silencer consists of two parts: a porous silencing element and a solid metal fitting, which can be ordered separately.
  1. Use a wrench for tightening.  Tightening and loosening should be preformed only on the hexagon element. The permissible tightening force limits are shown in the table below.
Model Tightening Force (N·m)
GR-SW-HP G3-4 28…30
GR-SW-HP G1 36…38
GR-SW-HP G1 1-4 40…42
GR-SW-HP G1 1-2 48…50
  1. Use the products strictly under the specified temperature and pressure conditions. Do not apply lateral bending loads during installation and use. If the product is used under vibration conditions, the threaded connection may become loose. It is allowed to use thread locking compounds.
  2. We recommend to regenerate the silencer every quarter by using reverse purging with compressed air, followed by washing in a solvent. If regeneration does not restore the required flow properties, replace the silencer.
  3. The product material is renewable and can be recycled as aluminium scrap. The threaded part is made of duralumin alloy AW-2024, and the porous silencing part is made of casting alloy AC-42000.
